When You’re Strange was assembled using footage shot between 1965 – 1971.  It chronicles the trials snd tribulations of The Doors, including their lead singer, Jim Morrison. 

I’m looking forward to seeing the film even though I’ve never been a huge Doors fan.  I’ve just always been intrigued by the mystique and legacy of  Jim Morrison.  He was a bigger-than-life character right up to his death, and his popularity has continued to grow.  I’m also intrigued by the fact that we have watched Ray Manzarek, Robbie Krieger, and John Densmore all grow older — they’re all now well into their 60’s – but Jim Morrison remains 27-years old.  The film will give us a window into what it was like when all of the band members were young, immensely popular, and living the wild life in the 1960’s.  I’m looking forward to it.
